How long does setup actually take?
Add your machine's hourly rate and cutting speed, and you're ready to quote — the material catalog (Steel, Stainless, Aluminum grades) is already loaded for you. Most shops send their first quote within the trial's first day.
Do I need CAD software to use it?
No. LaserQuote reads STEP and DXF files directly, and can quote straight from a PDF drawing when that's all you have.
What happens to a quote if I change my material costs later?
Nothing — saved quotes are locked to the price they were given at. If you want to bring an old quote up to current rates, there's an explicit Recalculate action. It never happens automatically just from opening the quote.
Does accepting a quote actually update my inventory?
Yes. Accepting a quote deducts the material it consumed from your tracked stock and records why in an inventory transaction log — reopening or canceling a job reverses it the same way, never by editing the original record.
